Shifts in frequencies of morphology-associated alleles over time. For GWAS candidate SNPs associated with morphology, we estimated effect sizes for morphology and year response variables. Plots are shown separately for bill length (A, B), wing length (C, D), and tarsus. SNP candidates were analyzed separately for males (left column) and females (right column). No plot was included for tarsus length in females because no significant SNPs were identified in the GWAS. A significant correlation means that SNPs most strongly associated with morphology also change most over time. Trend lines are included when the relationship is significant
